(a) The City of Pretty Prairie has established a site for public dumping. This site shall be maintained by the City in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations, and policies as set forth by the City.
(b) All material deposited in the dump shall pass through a gate, as provided, at a public entrance which will be closed at all times except as prescribed by the City Council and posted as such place of entry. Notice of open days and hours or any change of same will be published in the official city newspaper.
(c) The City Council shall establish policies and procedures that set forth the type of materials, size, volume and any other necessary restrictions or regulations to effectively manage the materials being deposited at the dump site. These policies and procedures shall be posted on the City's website and made available upon demand.
(d) Use of the city dump site will be limited to the residents of the City of Pretty Prairie and to those residents outside the city limits who are provided city services. Each utility account will receive a unique 5-digit code to access the city dump during set hours of operation. Only one code will be made available per utility account. Any misuse of the code or illegal dumping will result in deactivation of the code for 60 days and the possibility of a fine(s). Utility accounts must be in good standing for codes to be active.
(e) Any account holder or unauthorized user which violates any of the provisions of this section will be subject to fines as set by the city rate schedule.
