An ordinance of the City of Pretty Prairie, Kansas, changing the number of City Council members required for a quorum as provided for in K.S.A. 15-106, pursuant to Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, under the City’s Home Rule Power.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PRETTY PRAIRIE, KANSAS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. This Ordinance shall repeal Charter Ordinance No. 2, that exempted the City from K.S.A. 15-106, that states, “a majority of the members of said board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business ... “

Section 2. That all meetings of the City Council, 3/5ths of the members of said council shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
